The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the SBI PO Notification 2025 to hire new Probationary Officers in its branches across the country. SBI PO Eligibility 2025

To apply for SBI PO 2025:

  • A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required to be eligible.
  • Final year students can also apply, but they must show their graduation proof at the time of interview.
  • Age must be between 21 to 30 years as on 1 April 2025.
  • Age relaxation:
    • SC/ST: 5 years
    • OBC (NCL): 3 years
    • PwBD: 10 to 15 years (based on category)

SBI PO Exam Pattern 2025

The SBI PO 2025 exam will be held in three stages: Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and Phase III (Interview and Group Exercise). You need to pass each stage to move forward to the next.

Preliminary Exam (Phase I)

This is the first step and will be an online objective test. The paper in three parts: English, Maths, and Reasoning. You will get 20 minutes for each section, and the total duration will be 1 hour. There will be 100 questions in total. Each wrong answer will lead to a deduction of 1/4th mark. There is no sectional cut-off. This is only a qualifying round, and marks from this stage will not be counted in the final result.

Main Exam (Phase II)

The Main Exam consists of two parts — Objective Test and Descriptive Test. The Objective Test is for 200 marks and includes four sections: Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, and English Language. Each section has a fixed time limit. The Descriptive Test will carry 50 marks and includes writing an email and a report or a situation based answer. You need to qualify both parts. For each wrong answer in the objective test, one-fourth of the marks will be cut. Marks scored in the Main Exam will be considered in the final merit list.

Phase III: Psychometric Test, Interview, and Group Exercise

If you perform well in the mains, you’ll go to the next step, which is Phase III. This round includes a psychometric test, followed by a group discussion and a personal interview. The final selection will be based on your combined marks from the Main Exam and the Interview round. The preliminary exam is qualifying only; its marks do not affect your final ranking

SBI PO Admit Card 2025 – Prelims & Mains

Prelims Admit Card:

The SBI PO prelims call letter is likely to be made available online in the last weeks of July 2025. Candidates can get it by logging in to the official website using their registration ID and password. The call letter will show your exam date, reporting time, and exam center location.

Mains Admit Card:

If you clear the Prelims exam, you will get your SBI PO Mains Admit Card by August/September 2025. It is also available only online and not sent by post. Always keep multiple copies printed and check all instructions carefully.
